THE PURPOSE OF A BRAVO BELL: According to the story, an old gray-bearded biker, returning from Mexico on a cool desert night under a full moon, had his saddlebags filled with trinkets for the children at home and his biker friends. Everything seemed perfect, but he was unaware of the gremlins lying in wait.
These gremlins set traps on the road or deployed invisible, devilish devices to sabotage the biker's bike. As the biker rounded a sharp turn, they herded a coyote onto the road, causing him to skid and crash. He woke up in the ditch to find the gremlins approaching him. His saddlebag had been torn off and lay beside him.
In desperation, he began throwing items from his bag, but the only things that seemed to scare the gremlins were the bells he had bought for the children. Grabbing the bells, he discovered that the ringing sound confused the gremlins. Fortunately, a couple of other bikers heard the bells and, thinking the biker was afraid of something, yelled to frighten away any animals.
The grateful old biker cut tassels from his saddlebag and used them to tie a bell to each of the other bikers' bikes, explaining how the bells would warn off the gremlins and serve as a call for help if they ever encountered trouble.
Bravo Bells are made in the USA using lead-free pewter and come with a 24mm nickel-plated split ring, a 2"x 3.5" velveteen drawstring black bag, and a Bravo Bells Legend Card. They are designed to drive away gremlins while on the road and serve as a reminder to fellow bikers to stay safe.
However, there are a few rules to follow: 1. Hang the bell from the lowest part of your bike, as the gremlins will be trapped in its hollow if they try to reach for your bike. Hang it towards the front, as the ringing drives them away. 2. If you buy your own bell, the magic will work, but if you receive one as a gift from a friend or loved one, the magic is twice as strong. 3. If you ever sell your bike, keep the bell, as it is a precious gift of love and goodwill. 4. If you steal a bell from someone else's bike, you'll get all the gremlins they would have had, on top of your own.
